The Ultimate in Comfort: Women's Raglan Sleeve Top Sewing Pattern

Dear Readers,

This week, we are excited to bring you guest blogger, Cari Cook Smith!  Read along as Cari shares her own experience of sewing our Women's Raglan Sleeve Top pattern, and check out the photo of her finished product!

Raglan tops are among my favorite to sew and wear!  Knowing that Seamingly Smitten pattern pieces are simple to assemble, I was particularly excited to try the Women's Raglan Sleeve Split-Neck Top.  The pages are no trim pages, and I love that there are no lines to have to line up! You simply put the edges of each page together and tape them. It makes assembly quick and easy, and gives you more time for sewing. This raglan pattern is beginner friendly (as are all Seamingly Smitten patterns). It's simple to follow with clear step-by-step instructions and pictures of each step along the way.

The pattern comes with options to suit you, such as short or 3/4 sleeve lengths and the split or rounded neckline. It can be made with either cotton/woven or knit fabrics. Just make sure to choose a soft fabric with nice drape. I chose to make my own with the the 3/4 sleeve length and rounded neckline.  I used a cotton Lycra knit in two coordinating patterns for a fun top that can be worn year round!
